The NJN / Citizens United to Protect the Maurice River and Its Tributaries, Inc. (CU) documentary film Reflections of a Bayshore Painter - Glenn Rudderow has been selected to be aired by nearly 100 stations (see partial list below- many affiliate stations are not listed). Co-Producers Jane Morton Galetto and Louis Presti as well as editor cinematographer Jeffery Reisley have been awarded Emmy awards in the Arts Program or Special category by The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Mid-Atlantic Chapter.
Reflections of a Bayshore Painter - Glenn Rudderow, documents the NJ Delaware Bayshore artist's ability to masterfully epitomizes the spirit of the region we call home. CU President Jane Morton Galetto declares, "be it East Point, Egg Island, Turkey Point, Greenwich, the Maurice River, Burcham’s Farm, Money Island, Fortescue, Hansey Creek Road, Maple Avenue or the expansive farms of Western Cumberland County, each of us is enraptured by his painterly images in his own way. Glenn brings an emotion to our local landscapes that capture the viewer’s imagination and heart. He sees the artist metaphorically as a window, looking outward and inwardly depicting the world around him on his canvases. His paintings are not simply a reflection of the Bayshore; rather they are insightful glimpses of what the artist sees and feels and in turn what the viewer experiences."
In working on the film, Senior Producer Louis Presti, co-producer Jane Morton Galetto, editor cinematographer Jeff Reisly, and the NJN Crews felt privileged to be a part of Glenn’s creative world. They met the people who mentored his artistic talents, witnessed his creative genius, and experienced his use of light, color, composition and stroke. They met the loves of his life: art and his wife, Carol. They learned through many hours of observation some of the ingredients that make a masterful painter. For them as producers and Glenn as an artist, the ultimate cinema graphic achievement is sharing the film with the audience. Having the audience expanded to a national audience is all the sweeter.
Citizens United is grateful to our sponsors PSEG, The National Park Service, Community Energy and our membership.
