Gerry Moore, Ph.D. The majority of botanical surveys performed for Citizens United to Protect the Maurice River and Its Tributaries, Inc. have been conducted by botanist Gerry Moore. Dr. Moore’s undergraduate work was completed at Stockton State College and his graduate coursework at Rutgers. He has conducted fieldwork for the NJ Pinelands Commission, US Fish and Wildlife Service, New Jersey Nature Conservancy, various environmental consultants, conservation organizations, and numerous property owners. Gerry has instructed at the university level at Vandervbilt University and Alabama State University. He has also conducted research at Duke University and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Our organization has been delighted to have someone of his caliber conduct our field surveys and publish reports on the flora diversity of the Maurice River and its tributaries.
